Arrival in Tbilisi, transfer from the airport and check into the hotel

We start our day with visit of Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia.

Begin with a visit to the iconic Jvari Monastery, offering breathtaking views of the merging Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers. Next, we explore the magnificent Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, a masterpiece of the Early and High Middle Ages. Admire its historical significance and the sacred relics it houses.

We move from Mtskheta to the village of Mukhrani, where a European-type chateau awaits us.

Here we will taste the premium wines made by synthesis of traditional Georgian wine technology and classic method.

Drive back to Tbilisi. Free evening to explore the city. 

Right after breakfast, we leave to the region of wine Kakheti. Our first stop is the charming village of Patardzeuli, where we’ll visit a local wine factory and indulge in the flavors of authentic Georgian wines.

Next, we’ll visit the sacred Bodbe Monastery.

This revered site houses the relics of Saint Nino, the Christian educator who introduced Christianity to Georgia. 

Finally, we arrive to the enchanting “City of Love,” Sighnaghi, renowned for its romantic history and countless legends. This picturesque town is nestled against the breathtaking Great Caucasus Mountains, offering stunning views of the surrounding vineyards.

Enjoy a delightful lunch at a traditional Georgian restaurant before we visit wine cellar ‘Cradle of Wine Marani’. 

Step into the Cradle of Wine Marani and embark on a journey through ancient winemaking techniques and the profound role of wine in Georgian culture. Explore underground cellars housing qvevri clay vessels and discover an impressive collection of Georgian wines. Savor these wines through guided tastings.

Check in to the hotel. Overnight in Sighnaghi.

After breakfast, we continue to explore the wine region of Kakheti. 

We start our day by visiting Tsinandali Estate. once the residence of the poet Alexander Chavchavadze. Explore the enchanting gardens and the historic wine cellar, where you’ll gain insight into the estate’s role in Georgian cultural heritage. Engage your senses in a memorable wine tasting session, sampling their premium wines. 

Next we visit Schuchmann Wines Chateau, where we’ll embark on a fascinating tour that takes us through the winemaking process. From the vineyards to the state-of-the-art facilities, we’ll witness the meticulous care and craftsmanship that go into every bottle. A highlight of our visit will be an immersive wine tasting experience. Expert sommeliers will guide us through a selection of Schuchmann’s finest wines, allowing us to appreciate the depth and complexity of their creations. 

Return to Tbilisi. Check in to a hotel. 

Check out from the hotel and depart towards Racha, a picturesque region known for its stunning landscapes and exceptional wines.

Arrive at Didgori Winemaking in Ambrolauri, Racha and start your visit with a guided tour of their vineyards, where you’ll learn about the unique grape varieties cultivated in the region and the winery’s commitment to sustainable winemaking practices.

Engage in a guided wine tasting session and taste a selection of premium wines, ranging from elegant whites to full-bodied reds. Discover the distinctive flavors and characteristics that make Racha wines unique.

Free evening in Ambrolauri, to relax and enjoy beauty of the mountains. 

The day starts with the enchanting Shaori Lake, nestled amidst the beautiful Racha mountains. Enjoy a leisurely walk along the lakeside, taking in the serene atmosphere and breathtaking views.

Complete your Racha wine experience with a visit to another esteemed winery ‘Bugeuli’.  Explore their wine factory, witness the winemaking process, and indulge in a guided wine tasting. 

After wine tasting and lunch, depart to Tbilisi. Check in to the hotel. 

Transfer to the airport and departure home.
